High Volume Concreting Operations
Mfar has established the unique distinction of carrying out high volume concreting operations at one of its project sites, namely Knowledge Park Phase II at Bangalore. From November 2004 to December 2005, a total of 84,300 Cu M of concreting was achieved, ie an average of 6,000 Cu M per month. In the month of December 2005 alone, approximately 10,240 Cu M of concreting was done. This is an extraordinary achievement in the construction of buildings. Award of ISO 9001:2000
Mfar was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate by NQA Quality Systems Registrar on 1 February, 2003 for a period of three years, and re-certified in January 2006 for another period of three years ie upto January 2009. This Certificate is accredited by JAS-ANZ (Joint Accreditation System of Australia & New Zealand). This award confirms the effectiveness and successful implementation of the Quality Management System in all the activities of Mfar and also that it conforms to the ISO 9001:2000 Standard.

ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Certificates
Mfar was awarded the coveted ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:2007 Certificates on 5 Febuary 2008 by BVQI (India) thus confirming that our Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems meet the International Standards. It is a matter of great pride for Mfar that we are the second construction company in India to be recipient of all these three certificates. Mfar lays a great deal of stress on all aspects of environment protection, occupational health, and safety of its workers. Mfar motto, “Safety First Quality Plus”, clearly shows our commitment to EOHS.

Honouring of CEO by BAI
Mr. B K Dhar, CEO, MFAR being honoured as a senior builder by the BAI (Karnataka Chapter) on 21st Nov 2004.
Award of Bronze Safety Shield - 2005
Mfar won the “Bronze Safety Shield – 2005” instituted by the National Safety Council of India and the award was presented by Sri Chandra Sekar Sahu, Hon’ble Minister of Labour and Employment on 5 April 2005 at New Delhi. This was the first time that safety award was instituted for the construction industry. This award was given to Mfar in recognition of developing and implementing effective Management Systems and Procedures; and achieving very good performance in Occupational Health and Safety.
Safety Innovation Award - 2006
The Safety and Quality Forum of the Institution of Engineers ( India), instituted the “Safety Innovation Award – 2006”. Mfar had entered this competition for the first time and it is a matter of great pride that Mfar won this award. The trophy and the certificate was received from Mr. R. V. Shahi, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India, on 6 Sep 06 at New Delhi
NSCI Safety Awards for 2006
The following NSCI awards for the year 2006:
1. “Silver Safety Award – 2006” for Esteem Gardenia Project, Bangalore.
2. “Bronze Safety Award – 2006” for Drepung Loseling Monastery, Mundgod.
3. “Prashansa Patra” for Bengal Intelligent Park, Kolkata.
Safety Innovation Award – 2007
Mfar once again won the “Safety Innovation Award – 2007” instituted Safety and Quality Forum of the Institution of Engineers (India). The trophy and the certificate were presented by Smt Kanti Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Government of India, on 6 Sep 07 at New Delhi.
GPEMA – 2007
“Golden Peacock Environment Management Award – 2007” instituted by the World Environment Forum in association with the Institute of Directors. This award was presented by His Excellency, Shri V S Kokje, Governor of Himachal Pradesh on 10 Jun 07 at Palampur (HP).
ACCE Billimoria Award – 2007
Mfar received the “ACCE Billimoria Award – 2007” for excellence in construction of highrise buildings for IBC Knowledge Park Project, Bangalore. This award was presented by Mr. F. C. S. Peter, Director General, National Academy of Construction, on 17 Aug 07 at Hyderabad.
